RECENT DEATH

Remember in your prayers the soul and bereaved family of Mary McDonnell, late of Dromiskin and Knockbridge who was laid to rest in Knockbridge Cemetery on Monday December 12, 2016. Sympathy to family and relatives of Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus to the Archbishop of Armagh, Gerard Clifford, Annaskeagh, Ravensdale and formerly Bellurgan, who was laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery Ravensdale on Thursday last.

After consultation with the parish Pastoral Councils in both parishes, the following are the Mass times for Christmas: Kilkerley: Christmas Eve Vigil 9.00p.m. (preceded by Christmas Carols at 8.30pm), Christmas Day 10.00a.m. Knockbridge: Christmas Eve Vigil 7.30p.m. (preceded by Christmas Carols at 7.00p.m.) Christmas Day at 11.30a.m. Kilcroney School at 8.30a.m. Christmas Day. Please note change of times. The annual Advent Penance will take place on Thursday, December 22, at 7.30p.m.

Welcome to Thomas Anthony Fox, son of Brian and Claire (nee Kenny) Lis Na Dara, Dundalk, Eimear Ann Moran, daughter of Brian and Aisling (nee Kieran) Knockattin, Knockbridge, Elissa May King, daughter of Nicholas and Jillian (nee McEvoy) Knockdillon, Knockbridge who were baptised into the Christian community on November 22.

SCOUTS

The 10th Louth Cu-Chulainn Scout Group, Knockbridge, Enrolment: We have limited places for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Beavers run on Tuesday nights from 7.00pm -8.15pm, Cubs run on Thursday nights from 7.00pm – 8.30pm and Scouts run on Monday nights from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. The Irish Blood Transfusion Service give you the opportunity to give blood at Crowne Plaza Hotel this Thursday December 22, Tuesday December 27, Wednesday December 28, from 4.30p.m. – 8.00p.m and at Clan Na Gael GAA Centre on Friday December 30 from 11.30a.m. – 3.00p.m.

Locals from area that take part in the Killanny CPR Annual 5K run/walk fundraiser will be happy to hear that it takes place again this year on New Years Day at 10.00am starting from Community Centre in Killanny.
