A host of Dundalk’s best musicians got together earlier this year, when there wasn’t a glimmer of tinsel to be seen, and recorded a selection of Christmas songs. The result makes perfect Christmas viewing for those times when no matter how many channels you have there’s nothing on television, Filmed in The Lock Up rehearsal space on the Castletown Road in Dundalk over a few months earlier this year, Christmas on Castletown Road is already clocking up the hits on Youtube and the Thin Air TV website, who deemed it ‘very easily one of the best things to land in our in box in 2016.’ The video features versions of top Christ- mas songs from down the years as well as some new ones which are bound to become local classics if not further afield. It features an array of local talent including Robocobra Quartet, Jink Lennon, Elephant, Bleeding Heart Pigeons, These Are Atoms, Video Blue, Trick Mist, Looking Svelte, T.P.M and Sophie Coyle. The production was directed by Graham Patterson and involved several others, Mark Finnegan, Conor Taaffe, Mark Sheridan, Gavin Murray and Mícheál Keating. The full track listing is: 1.
