Center Parc short break prize for Finegan family

- By Olivia Ryan

The Finegan family from Carlingford have just returned from an action packed five-day family break at Center Parcs UK.

The family of four was one of 21 lucky families to have won the trip as part of Center Parcs’ first promotion in Ireland to celebrate the forthcoming opening of the forest resort in Longford in summer 2019.

The Finegan’s also received £500 to spend at the forest resort. The promotion which ran in partnership with Today FM and TV3’s Ireland AM will see 64 families from the island of Ireland win a short-break to the family destination. Joining the Finegan family on their trip was Today FM presenters, Dave Moore and Dermot Whelan who interviewed winners live from the forest resort.

Speaking about his Center Parcs experience, Ron Finegan said: ‘I can safely say we have never experienced a family trip like the one we just enjoyed at Center Parcs. It provided us with the opportunity to come together as a family and spend real quality time together in beautiful forest surroundings. We took part in activities that brought us together as a family.’

The Center Parcs concept is to provide short breaks in the forest. Each village is set within around 400 acres of natural woodland, with trees, streams and wildlife surrounding apartment and lodge accommodation. At the heart of each resort is the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, an extensive range of restaurants, cafés and retail outlets, as well as the Aqua Sana Spa.

The purpose of the promotion was to enable families from across the island of Ireland to experience Center Parcs first hand before it opened in Longford in 2019.
