Mixed fortunes for Uncle Toms Cabin

-

UNCLE Toms Cabin returned to winning ways in last week’s Dundalk and District Dart League action with a hardfought 4-2 win over a very game Malthouse team in the Premier League.

The other match played in the top division produced a 6-0 win for the Bodhran over Uncle Toms second string which was nowhere near as clear-cut as the scoreline made out. Especially unlucky was Wayne Fry who lost out to John Kelly in a 3-2 thriller.

With the Punters Panthers having a bye week, Harrys Bar and the Commercial Classics took advantage to close to within two points of the leaders.

Harrys got the better of the Stags Head with a narrow 4-2 win, while the Commercial overcame McManus Maniacs by the same scoreline.

In the remaining match, new signings Paul Dillon and Paddy Taaffe inspired the Punters Pumas to their first win of the season as they defeated the Bodhran Blues 4-2.

Under Robbie Kieran’s leadership, the Bodhran Eagles are proving very difficult to stop and their fine run in Division 2 continued with a 5-1 win over Callans. Star of the show was Mark Robinson as they remain two points clear of the chasing pack.

Barry Dillon led the way in Castle Bar’s 5-1 victory over Commercial Celtic, while Stephen was pick of the bunch in the Bodhran Hawks’ 4-2 defeat of a gallant Clans outfit. This result leapfrogged the Hawks into third place over Courtneys and Stags Blue, whose match was postponed until next week.
