DANC­ING

Danc­ing in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre con­tin­ues this Sun­day night Novem­ber 11, with mu­sic by J and S Sound. Adrian Ryan plays on Novem­ber 18 and White Light­en­ing on Novem­ber 25, Cur­tis Magee on De­cem­ber2, Show­bud on De­cem­ber 9, and Liam Man­ner­ing on De­cem­ber 16. Danc­ing from 9.00pm to mid­night.

Bad­minton for adults in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Mon­day nights from 8.00pm to 10.00pm. All over 18 wel­come.

PARISH NEWS

Ado­ra­tion of the Blessed Sacra­ment takes place each Fri­day from 6.30p.m.-7.30p.m. Please pray for Ed­die Cronin, St Clements Park, Dun­dalk, Jen­nifer Grant, Bel­mayne, Dublin, for­merly Bar­ronstown, Patsy Ger­non, Grey­acre, Michael Tuite, Sports­man­hall, Thomas La­mont, Black­rock, who died re­cently.

Bap­tisms take place ev­ery sec­ond Sun­day of the month at 10.00am mass. Con­fes­sion will take place af­ter 6.00p.m Mass on Satur­days and be­fore Mass on First Fri­days. If you wish to have your home blessed please con­tact Fr Gerry or Fr Paddy.

The Church Choir is look­ing for more mem­bers so please con­tact Fidelma Bellew or the priests.

Mass of the An­gels for ba­bies who died be­fore or af­ter birth will be on Satur­day, Novem­ber 24, at 6.00pm. Re­fresh­ments af­ter­wards in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre.

Fr Paddy is presently cov­er­ing in Monaster­boice Parish un­til Jan­uary 2019, cel­e­brat­ing week­end and week day masses, Bap­tisms, Wed­dings, Fu­ner­als, First Fri­day calls and hospi­tal vis­its. He will still do what he can in Kilk­er­ley if he as any time to spare at all.

St John Paul Parish Awards which en­cour­ages and cel­e­brates young peo­ples in­volve­ment in the com­mu­nity will be launched at 6.00pm mass this Satur­day, Novem­ber 10. More de­tails from Jane Quinn on 087 9708482.

Well done to Gary O’Han­lon on fin­ish­ing sec­ond Ir­ish Run­ner home in the Dublin City Marathon on Bank Hol­i­day Mon­day and also to all the other lo­cals who took part in the event.

EM­METS GFC

The girls minor team beat Roche in the cham­pi­onship and this Sun­day are away to Sta­ban­non at 11.00am.. Nom­i­na­tions and Mo­tions meet­ing for 2019 , takes place this Thursday, Novem­ber 8, at 8.00 p.m. and the An­nual Gen­eral Meet­ing will be held on Fri­day, Novem­ber 23, at 8.00pm both in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. In the U21 com­pe­ti­tion Pre­lim­i­nary Round on Fri­day last Kilk­er­ley Em­mets/Naomh Malachi lost to St Pa­tricks 3-13 to 0-9. Shane Len­non and Mark Clif­ford men­tors with the county U16 team got an­other win in Fr Man­ning Cup beat­ing Wex­ford 3-14 to 1-11 with both Pa­trick Murtagh and Aaron Craw­ford on the score­sheet.

DUN­DALK CUP WIN

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Stephen Kenny and their Dun­dalk Soc­cer team on win­ning the Cup on Sun­day last to make it a dou­ble, hav­ing al­ready been crowned league cham­pi­ons.
