Alcohol harm awareness event

A public event aimed at creating awareness around the risks of alcohol misuse is being held in Dundalk later this week.

The Irish Community Action on Alcohol Network (ICAAN) will host a conference on ‘Reducing Alcohol Harm: The Power and Potential of Communities’ this Thursday, 22nd November.

Together with the Institute of Public Health, ICAAN will hold the full day conference in the Carnbeg Hotel, Armagh Road.

The event will be Ireland’s first All Island Conference on Community Action on Alcohol and will feature a range of international speakers and grass roots community activists.
