FURTHER ADJOURNMENT

-

A 35-year-old Co. Monaghan man who previously pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of cannabis at Mount Avenue, dangerous driving at Castletown Road and driving while under the influence of an intoxicant at Castletown Road, all on 28 April, 2017, has had his case further adjourned.

Patrick Conway, Lisnagunnion, Donaghmoyne, Carrickmacross, has previous convictions for cannabis possession, his solicitor Frank McDonnell had said; and in putting the matter back on that occasion to 14 November the judge said the drugs court could be an option.

Last week, Mr McDonnell said a positive report was before the court, and he reminded the judge he had been impressed by the defendant.

Judge Coughlan adjourned the case to 17 April, 2019, and ordered an updated probation report.
