CARELESS DRIVINGFINE

-

A motorist who drove over a man’s foot, breaking two bones, has been fined €75 after he pleaded guilty to careless driving.

Previously the court heard of an incident which occurred in the car-park of Aldi, Newry Road, on 17 September, 2017 when the defendant, a hotel kitchen porter, was reversing out.

At that hearing, the judge wanted to make sure that the defendant, Armands Vitous (54), 12 Park Square, Coulter Place, was insured. This was confirmed last week.

The defendant got legal aid.
