All change at Cógaslann Pharmacy

-

CÓGASLANN Pharmacy has undergone a change of ownership and a complete revamp. To celebrate these changes and over 25 years in business the town centre pharmacy is to hold an official re-opening and customer appreciation days this Thursday and Friday, when there will be plenty of giveaways and bargains for customers.

The changes are very much designed for the benefit of customers to give them a better shopping experience while new owner John Sheppard is committed to carrying on the tradition of a totally professional, friendly, service based on time for customers that Michael Mockler O’Neill created. Michael who started the business and built it up over the years retired recently.

The tradition is ensured by the retention of the staff that worked for Michael and were imbued by the values and regard that he had for his customers, and have accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to put at their disposal.

The new shop lay-out and re-fitting provides for easier access and a much brighter and modern ambiance with the entrance shifted to what was the rear of the shop towards the back of Boyd’s Shopping Centre where the pharmacy has been located since it first opened.

If anything it makes it more convenient for customers with ample car parking at the rear of the shopping centre. While there the Centre offers customers the facility to do lots of things and all their shopping under the one roof, with a whole array of different shops and services, such as a butcher’s, baker’s, florist’s, stationary and general ware. You can book your holidays or have your hair done or make-up and beautify yourself or have repairs carried out to footwear or new or replacement keys cut. You even might decide to have a meal or a snack, depending on time available and do much more.

The shop has a great selection of stock in medicines, toiletries, cosmetics, make-up, skincare, perfumes and all the items that nowadays are on the shelves in modern chemists.

But there is an important essential difference in that Cogaslann is independently owned and the ethos at the heart of the business developed by Michael Mockler O’Neill remains with the customer paramount to listen to and talk to and spend time to take care of his needs in a empathetic and friendly manner.

Providing qualified and expert advice is one of the primary services. To try to make it easier and facilitate those who are not able to come to the shop or someone to collect their prescriptions, there is a delivery service.

The staff under new owner John, comprising Ann, Philip, Damien, Eileen, Danika and Amanda are all focused on providing the best service possible in the most polite and helpful manner, Monday through to Saturday between 9am and 6pm each day..

John has working experience in town, and shares the ideals of his predecessor, while also extending the range of products on offer, and providing value that is so important for customers.

Particularly at this time of year it can be very costly on families, and to ease that burden John has opened a Christmas club to allow customers save for and obtain the gifts and presents they need and pay for the essential items.

There are lots of goodies to be won and special discounts this Thursday and Friday. All are invited to come along.
