Roisin joined the Young Critics team
ROISÍN Finnegan from M.A.D. Youth Theatre was a participant in Youth Theatre Ireland’s Young Critics programme involving 16 young people aged 16-20 from all across Ireland.
Roisín describes the six month programme ‘a great experience for me, and one that I don’t think I will ever forget.’
As part of the programme she got the opportunity to see a number of quality theatre productions, including The Nassim in the Project Arts Centre, Hamlet at the Gate Theatre and Eliza’s Adventures in the Uncanny Valley in the Samuel Beckett Centre last month, followed by a panel discussion in the Project Arts Centre.
‘Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the young critics experience,’ she says. ‘It was a great opportunity to see theatre I otherwise would not have the opportunity to see. It has given me a greater understanding and appreciation of the different aspects that go into productions.’
