TONY Joyce (22), 44 Cherryvale, Bay Estate has had a shoplifting charge struck out after paying €100 to charity.

The court heard he took clothing worth € 37.50 from Tesco Extra, Stapleton Drive, on 5 June, 2018.

The property was recovered. Legal aid was granted to the defendant.
