M.A.D Youth The­atre host their Lit­tle Drama Fes­ti­val

Dundalk’s M.A.D Youth The­atre are host­ing their very own ‘Lit­tle Drama Fes­ti­val’ for three nights from Mon­day De­cem­ber 10.

The hour-long pro­gramme will fea­ture short plays and mono­logues writ­ten, di­rected and per­formed by the young mem­bers.

The Lit­tle Drama Fes­ti­val gives these young ac­tors the op­por­tu­nity to share ex­plore sto­ries which they would like to share, de­velop char­ac­ters and to share their work with an au­di­ence.

The per­for­mance pieces range from dark come­dies, is­sued based dra­mas, fan­tasy and the ridicu­lous.

The fes­ti­val will take place in their the­atre venue on Earl Street , lo­cated un­der the arch way be­tween Magees Phar­macy and Dealz. M.A.D Youth The­atre is sup­ported by Louth County Coun­cil and Cre­ative Ire­land and moved into this space at the be­gin­ning of the year.

The fes­ti­val kicks off at 6.30pm on Mon­day, De­cem­ber 10, with per­for­mances on Tues­day and Wednes­day night.

Ad­mis­sion is €5 at the door, seats are lim­ited, so please text 0831404747 to re­serve a seat. There will be a raf­fle on the night to raise funds for the mem­bers’ trip to Prague in Feb­ru­ary 2019 to take part in the Class in Ac­tion In­ter­na­tional Youth The­atre Fes­ti­val.
