Local Horowitz fan receives postcard from top author

-

It was a red letter day for local Anthony Horowitz fan, Sean O’Doherty , when he received a postcard from the award winning author

A big fan of the British writer, Sean had decided to write to him about his love of the ‘ Alex Rider’ series.

And he was thrilled to have received a handwritten response back from the leading author!

In the postcard, he told how work is currently ongoing on developing the Alex Rider books into a television series. He wrote ‘ One day you can let me know what you think!’ Sean was so thrilled to have received the response from his favourite author that he took it in to show staff at the Louth County Library, where he is an avid reader.

‘Sean wanted to show the postcard to us all for Library Ireland Week,’ a spokeswoman told the Argus.

‘He is a really prolific reader, and I know he is a real fan of the Anthony Horowitz books, so it was a real treat for him to have received a response.’

The novelist and screenwriter specialises in mystery and suspense. His work for young adult readers includes The Diamond Brothers series, the Alex Rider series, and The Power of Five series (also known as The Gatekeepers).
