The dis­trict court has re­fused ju­ris­dic­tion in the case of a man ac­cused of hav­ing drugs worth more than €2,300.

Michael Kerr (46), 41 Gar­ry­bawn, Tom Bellew Av­enue, is charged with two counts of pos­ses­sion of drugs for sale or sup­ply and two counts of un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of drugs at 41 Gar­ry­bawn on 15 April, 2017.

It is al­leged he had di­amor­phine worth €2,333 and cannabis val­ued €42.

Judge Cough­lan re­fused ju­ris­dic­tion and ad­journed the mat­ter to 20 Feb­ru­ary for a book of ev­i­dence.

Kerr was granted le­gal aid.
