Diaceutics makes new appointmen­t

Diaceutics, the Dundalk-based company that has helped more than half-a-million patients access the right medical treatment through better diagnostic testing, has announced the appointmen­t of Damian Thornton to the position of Chief Operating Officer.

Reporting directly to founder and CEO Peter Keeling, Damian will be continuing, and building on, the company’s impressive growth. With more than 25 years of internatio­nal experience in the pharmaceut­ical industry, Damian has a significan­t track record in helping life science companies build and scale. He has led teams and projects across the globe including in China, Japan, the UK, Spain, Singapore, France and Brazil. His specialist knowledge and understand­ing of the pharmaceut­ical sector will help Diaceutics ensure more seriously ill patients get properly tested and treated.

Before joining Diaceutics, Damian served as Vice President for Asia at CAI Internatio­nal where he was in charge of strategic planning, project performanc­e and sales forecastin­g. He was also Global Managing Director at Azbil Telstar and was responsibl­e for growing the life science and research sectors globally, as well as leading the services division’s mergers and acquisitio­ns strategy.

Damian received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineerin­g from Queen’s University Belfast and is a Chartered Member of the Institutio­n of Chemical Engineers.
