Di­aceu­tics makes new ap­point­ment

Di­aceu­tics, the Dundalk-based com­pany that has helped more than half-a-mil­lion pa­tients ac­cess the right med­i­cal treat­ment through bet­ter di­ag­nos­tic test­ing, has an­nounced the ap­point­ment of Damian Thorn­ton to the po­si­tion of Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer.

Re­port­ing di­rectly to founder and CEO Pe­ter Keel­ing, Damian will be con­tin­u­ing, and build­ing on, the com­pany’s im­pres­sive growth. With more than 25 years of in­ter­na­tional ex­pe­ri­ence in the phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal in­dus­try, Damian has a sig­nif­i­cant track record in help­ing life science com­pa­nies build and scale. He has led teams and projects across the globe in­clud­ing in China, Ja­pan, the UK, Spain, Sin­ga­pore, France and Brazil. His spe­cial­ist knowl­edge and un­der­stand­ing of the phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal sec­tor will help Di­aceu­tics en­sure more se­ri­ously ill pa­tients get prop­erly tested and treated.

Be­fore join­ing Di­aceu­tics, Damian served as Vice Pres­i­dent for Asia at CAI In­ter­na­tional where he was in charge of strate­gic plan­ning, project per­for­mance and sales fore­cast­ing. He was also Global Manag­ing Di­rec­tor at Az­bil Tel­star and was re­spon­si­ble for grow­ing the life science and re­search sec­tors globally, as well as lead­ing the ser­vices di­vi­sion’s merg­ers and ac­qui­si­tions strat­egy.

Damian re­ceived his bach­e­lor’s de­gree in Chem­i­cal En­gi­neer­ing from Queen’s Univer­sity Belfast and is a Char­tered Mem­ber of the In­sti­tu­tion of Chem­i­cal En­gi­neers.

‘It is an hon­our to join a com­pany that is trans­form­ing an in­dus­try and sav­ing thou­sands of lives by help­ing pa­tients to re­ceive the right med­i­ca­tion at the right time,’ said Damian. ‘I am look­ing for­ward to be­ing ac­tively in­volved in the next step of the Di­aceu­tics jour­ney and be­ing a part of its suc­cess story.’
