-

Louth’s creative hub, Creative Spark, has scooped the award for Best Co-working Space at the 2018 Spiders, which celebrate Ireland’s most innovative and creative digital technology SMEs and start-ups.

A delighted Chief Executive Sarah Daly was delighted to be presented with the award at the annual awards ceremony in the RDS last Thursday.

This was the first year that there was an award for co-working spaces and the judges praised Creative Spark’s use of social media. They were particularly impressed with Creative Spark’s website, saying it was very user friendly and informative.

Creative Spark, which opened in 2012, is home to thirty businesses all in the creative enterprise sector.

‘We’ve got everything from architecture to web design so we’ve got A to W covered,’ quipped Sarah.

The hub also has its own print studio and kiln and regularly hosts creative events and training, as well as running a residency programme for artists.

‘We also work closely with the Local Enterprise Office to deliver training for start-ups and growing businesses,’ said Sarah.
