Book shines a light on Kenny’s final campaign at the helm

-

STEPHEN Kenny’s final campaign in charge of Dundalk FC is recounted in a new book which will be launched on Friday, December 7th.

Dundalk FC: Taking Back The Throne tells the story of one of the most successful seasons in the club’s history which saw Kenny’s wonderful group of players win their fourth SSE Airtricity League title in five years before going on to seal the double with a 2-1 victory over Cork City in the FAI Cup final at the Aviva Stadium.

With top scorer Patrick Hoban, PFAI Player of the Year Michael Duffy and Oriel Park hero Chris Shields all playing a starring role, the history books were rewritten as Dundalk broke the record for the most points and number of goals scored in a season!

Produced by local journalist Gavin McLaughlin, editor of Dundalk Sport, and designed by a Dundalk-based studio, Grandson, the 264-page publication - which comes with a choice of three front covers - is an ideal Christmas present for any Lilywhites or League of Ireland supporter.

Priced at just €20, the book will be launched on Friday, December 7th at the County Museum in Dundalk at 7 pm and is now available to pre-order on the Dundalk Sport website (www. dundalksport.ie) and social media pages.

It will be available to buy from local outlets such as Callan’s Off Licence, Coffee Time, Goldstar Jewellers, Joe’s Food Store Greengates and Brodigan’s Londis, Quay Street.
