Sleep out at Bush for Simon Community
ON Friday last the parishioners of Cooley along with the priests of the parish, Fr.Malachy and Fr.Tommy, gathered at the Bush picnic area for an 8 till 8 sleep out for the Simon Community in Dundalk.
John McIntyre and Zoe Conway along with their talented children provided some beautiful music to start the evening.
Yvonne, Rosie and Vivienne from Dundalk Simon attended the night giving an insight of the harsh reality of homelessness and the work they do. There was a prayer service at midnight in memory of all those who sadly lost there lives through homelessness.
The Pastoral Council would like to thank everyone who helped in organising the night. A special word of thanks goes to all who took sponsorship cards and who donated so generously to this event.
