DkIT hosting free creative workshops

THE Department of Creative Arts, Media and Music at DkIT are holding free workshops for children on Saturday December 8 with the support of Creative Ireland.

The workshop, which are open to young people aged between 10 and 18 years, give participants the opportunity to explore music technology, audio production, digital and creative media and STEAM. Taking place the creative facilities in the Carroll Building at DkIT which includes Mac labs, recording and editing spaces, the workshops will allow young people to see how the arts can merge with the traditional STEM subjects, as they try out science-based activities through the medium of music, song and dance. Another workshop will explore the importance of bees and other pollinators in the world.
