PUB­LIC OR­DER IN­CI­DENT AT STA­DIUM

A 25-year-old man who ad­mit­ted two pub­lic or­der charges aris­ing out of an in­ci­dent at Dundalk Sta­dium has had them struck out.

That or­der was made af­ter Ken­neth Kilkenny, Lis­ross, Ross­in­ver, Co. Leitrim paid € 300 to char­ity.

He pleaded guilty to be­ing in­tox­i­cated in a pub­lic place and en­gag­ing in threat­en­ing, abu­sive and in­sult­ing be­hav­iour at the horse and grey­hound rac­ing track on 15 De­cem­ber last.

Sgt Fin­tan McGroder said Kilkenny has a pre­vi­ous con­vic­tion for as­sault caus­ing harm for which he re­ceived a sus­pended sen­tence on pay­ing com­pen­sa­tion.
