Cal­lans Golf So­ci­ety, Philip­stown have an out­ing to Man­nan Cas­tle Golf Club this Sat­ur­day, Jan­uary 12, with Tee Time of 10.30am.

5 K RUN

Jan­uary marks the start of RTE’s Op­er­a­tion Trans­for­ma­tion and as part of the launch, Louth Lo­cal Sports Part­ner­ship are look­ing to in­volve lo­cal GAA clubs, so Kilk­er­ley Em­mets are host­ing a walk this Sat­ur­day, Jan­uary 12, at 11.00am on the walk­ing track around the club grounds. For health and safety rea­sons no dogs al­lowed in the grounds or on the walk­ing track.

DANC­ING

Danc­ing in Kilk­er­ley Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Sun­day next Jan­uary 13, with mu­sic by Twice Shy. Show­bud play on Jan­uary 20 and Cur­tis Magee on Jan­uary 27. Danc­ing from 9.00pm to mid­night.

JIVE CLASSES

Be­gin­ners Jive classes take place Kilk­er­ley Com­mu­nity Cen­tre each Tues­day evening at 7.30 pm and also each Tues­day evening Pi­lates takes place in the Cen­tre at 6.30pm. Con­tact 0851048491 for de­tails.

PAR­ISH NEWS

Ado­ra­tion of the Blessed Sacra­ment takes place each Fri­day from 6.30p.m.-7.30p.m.

Bap­tisms take place ev­ery sec­ond Sun­day of the month at 10.00am mass. Con­fes­sion will take place af­ter 6.00p.m Mass on Satur­days and be­fore Mass on First Fri­days.

Epilepsy Ire­land An­nual Church Gate Col­lec­tion takes place this week­end Jan­uary 12/13.

Dur­ing mass this Sun­day all chil­dren who were bap­tised since last Jan­uary will re­ceive a spe­cial bless­ing and a cer­tifi­cate. Re­fresh­ments af­ter­wards in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre.

The Bap­tism Team meet in the Parochial House, Knock­bridge on next Tues­day night at 7.00pm.

The Finance Com­mit­tee meet on Thurs­day night Jan­uary 24, at 8.30pm in the Parochial House, Knock­bridge.

Bad­minton for adults in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Mon­day nights from 8.00pm to 10.00pm. All over 18 wel­come.

The GAA Na­tional Club Draw tick­ets are on sale. Prizes in­clude hol­i­days, car, All Ire­land Fi­nal tick­ets, vouch­ers. All pro­ceeds from sales go to club funds. Tick­ets on sale from any com­mit­tee mem­ber. Priced €10.

Mem­ber­ship fees for 2019 are now due and can be sub­mit­ted at a reg­is­tra­tion night in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Fri­day, Jan­uary 25, from 7.30pm.

TROCAIRE

This or­gan­i­sa­tion is look­ing for new vol­un­teers who will be Par­ish Am­bas­sadors in the Armagh Dio­cese to help raise aware­ness of the chal­lenges fac­ing the world’s poor­est com­mu­ni­ties and the dif­fer­ence been made by sup­port from Ire­land. This year we are in a po­si­tion to as­sist with the costs in­volved and are of­fer­ing 2 fully paid fares to any­one who is or has been ill.
