The idea behind Darkness Into Light is for people to come together in the early hours of the morning to walk 5km to remember those affected by suicide and to support those considering it.

They then complete the event at sunrise, showing that no matter how hard things get there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

‘ This nsupport has an immense impact, raising over €6 million for Pieta House services. The funds raised have been able to provide crisis intervention counselling for more than 7,000 people nationwide, over 4,000 hours of bereavement counselling, and enable therapists to see an average of 135 clients each week.
