Eamonn’s Oscars dream

-

IT’S every fashion designer’s dream and Dundalk designer Eamonn McGill has revealed that one of his creations will be worn at The Oscars.

The up and coming designer, who hit the headlines last winter when his designs were featured in the Brown and Thomas Christmas window, told his social media followers he has designed a dress for Eibhlin Hewitt, one of the producers for the Oscar-nominated live action short film ‘Detainment’

‘I’m really looking forward to seeing this dress walk the red carpet and hopefully the film will pick up the award,’ he said.

While he was unable to reveal details of the dress, he said: ‘It’s a very sophisticated and effortless version of my usual style.’

‘I honestly never thought I’d see one of my dresses walk the red carpet at the Oscars. It’s such a surreal feeling. The former Marist and NCAD student said: ‘ To think now I’ve dressed someone for the Oscars , Golden Globes , Baftas and Iftas all in the last 3 years is a bit crazy.’
