Man arrested after attempted car jacking
A man in his 40s was arrested and charged after two reported ‘attempted carjackings’ in mid Louth on Sunday morning.
Louth County Councillor, Jim Tenanty was reported to have been driving along a rural road outside Darver at around 10am when he was approached by the individual.
Fortunately, the Ardee councillor managed to escape.
There were also reports of a second attempt to steal a vehicle nearby.
But the owner of the vehicle,a van, apprehended the individual who was later arrested and charged.
