Artist Adrienne selling work in aid of African project

-

Local artist Adrienne Finnerty is having an art sale to raise funds to complete Mulholland Children’s Home in Tanzania.

The Blackrock artist will be opening the doors of her studio at 15 Ascal Setanta, The Ferns on Friday March 1 from 5.30pm to 9pm and on Saturday from 12pm to 6pm.

Entitled ‘Paintings for Pillows’,Adrienne will be selling a selection of original oil paintings, acrylics, mixed media works and limited edition Giclee prints, with a varied range of affordable pieces and also some bigger pieces for the avid art collector.

Adrienne and her mother Teresa Mulholland have raised funds for overseas projects and have travelled to Africa to supervise the work on a number of occasions. Sadly Teresa suffered a massive stroke last year and Adrienne is carrying on the work by raising money so that the Mulholland Children’s Home in Tanzania can be finished.

Adrienne now divides her time between Galway and Dundalk, and her work is currently on show in the group exhibition FLESH in Galway Town Hall, in H.U.G.G Exhibition in St Andrew’s Centre, Dublin for those bereaved by suicide, the Whitethorn Gallery, Clifton as well as her new studio/ gallery Fiáin Art Studoio in Spiddal.
