PROBATION ACT IN DRUGS CASE

A 31-year-old man who pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of €150-worth of cannabis has been given the probation act.

Conor Brady, 124 Oakland Park, Cox’s Demesne, admitted the offence which occurred at his address on 19 February, 2018.

The court heard he is on remand in Mountjoy for an unrelated robbery charge.

In the circumstances, Judge Coughlan said he would apply to the probation act.
