JURISDICTION REFUSED IN ASSAULT CASE
Jurisdiction has been refused by the district court in the case of two men accused of assaulting another male, causing him harm.
The judge made his decision after speaking to the alleged injured party.
The offence is alleged to have taken place at Knocknagoran, Omeath, on 7 October, 2018.
The two defendants, Daniel Harper (20), 11 Cloch Mór Cottages, Omeath and Conor McLoughlin (38), of the same address and Cornamucklagh, Omeath, had their cases adjourned to 15 May, with time extended for service of a book of evidence.
In a separate matter, Conor McLoughlin is accused of making a threat to kill or cause serious harm to another man at Knocknagoran on 26 May, 2018.
After an independent surety of €230 was lodged, he was remanded on bail on that charge to 20 March.
