FINED FOR CARELESS DRIVING

Arron Finnegan (25), 22 Clooneevan, Haggardstown, has been fined €75 for careless driving.

Gardaí accepted a plea to that reduced charge, the defendant having been summonsed for dangerous driving following a rear-ending traffic accident which occurred at Blackrock Road, Dundalk, on 30 August, 2017.

An apprentice driller, he was fully insured, and has no previous convictions.

Separately, Arron Finnegan has been given until 27 February next to come up with €300 for charity in order to have an unlawful possession of cannabis charge struck out.

He admitted the offence which occurred at his address on 13 January, 2018.
