Murray ends long wait

SEAN Murray’s goal for Dundalk on Friday night was his first in a little under 13 months. The midfielder hadn’t found the net since also scoring an early second half equaliser for Colchester Utd in their 1-1 draw at home to Grimsby Town on January 20th 2018. It was the 20th goal of his career. Ironically, the last Dundalk player to score on their debut on the opening day of the season also wore the number 16 jersey. That was Ciaran Kilduff, who found the net twice in a 3-1 win away to Bray Wanderers in March 2016.
