HURLING CLUB QUIZ

Knockbridg­e Hurling Club hold its Annual Table Quiz on Friday, March 1, in Cluskey’s Little Ash at 9.30pm. €40 for Table of 4, and your support is much appreciate­d. In the Special Hurling League Knockbridg­e beat Mattock 3-11 to 2-7 on Sunday last and its away this Sunday to Craobh Rua at 11.30am and on Sunday, March 3, it’s a home game against Naomh Moninne at 11.30am.

SCHOOL REUNION

To mark the 50th Anniversar­y of its closure in June 1969, it is envisaged to hold a reunion of pupils who completed their primary school education at Knockbridg­e Old School and did not attend the New School at any rime. PARISH NEWS

Baptisms take place every fourth Sunday of the month at 11.30am mass and a baptism course will be held each month with course dates posted in the Church Porch. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on Mondays from 10.00am to 10.00pm in the Church followed by Benedictio­n at 10.00p.m. Confession­s are available on Mondays before 7.30 Mass and from 9.30pm-10.00pm, at the end of Eucharist Adoration, and at any time by request. If you wish to have your home blessed please contact Fr Gerry. Confirmati­on takes place on Friday, April 5, at 11.00am. Welcome to Fr Chrisandus Ambale, a Vincentian priest from Kenya who will be helping at weekend masses until mid-June. The finance committee meet on Tuesday next February 26, at 8.00pm in the Parochial House. The sick and housebound will be visited as usual on Thursday, February 28, and on Friday, March 1. The Pastoral Council meet this Wednesday, February 20, at 8.00pm in Knockbridg­e Parochial House. Mass on Saturday, March 2, will be recorded by LMFM and will be broadcast the following morning at 9.00am. Brendan McCourt, Choir Director in St Patrick’s, Dundalk, will give a a pre- Lent/Easter workshop to the choirs in this pastoral are on Saturday, March 2, from 2.00pm to 5.00pm in Knockbridg­e Church.

FLOWER ARRANGING
