SHELAGH YOUTH CLUB

We were delighted to welcome Caroline Redpath from Youth Action NI to deliver our child protection training on Tuesday 12th February 2019. Thank you to all volunteers and parents who came along on the night. On Friday night, we had another activity night which was very successful and enjoyed by all. Arts and Crafts for children under 12 will run for 4 weeks beginning on Tuesday 5th March at 6.30pm. Cost €3.00 per child per night. All names to be given to Sinead McCreesh or Aine McElory. NAOMH MALACHI & IRELAND LIGHTS UP

Naomh Malachi are now on board with Operation Transformation and the GAA for Ireland Lights Up. Every Thursday from now until – 21st February 2019 our club will be open and lit up for you, your family and friends to come and walk from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Registration takes place each night from 7pm.

All current members welcome to take part, and any non-current members from within community can of course get registered and participate in this fun activity. Please speak with any committee member in relation to membership registration.

FOLK MUSIC

The fantastic Irish folk band, All Folkd Up will be appearing in Naomh Malachi GFC clubrooms on Saturday 23rd February. This brilliant band are just back from touring in the United States and are sure to be a highlight of our social calendar to have them in our club!

LOTTO RESULTS

Naomh Malachi GFC lotto 10/02/2019. Jackpot €3,500, numbers drawn 13, 14, 16 and 20. One match 3 winner, Patricia Harte won €100.00 sold by Ronan McElroy. Next lotto jackpot will be €3,600, draw on the 24th February. Thanks to all who support the club lotto.

FOOTBALL MATTERS

Naomh Malachi had their first match of the 2019 senior football season in the Kevin Mullen Shield Group D last Sunday against the John Mitchels in Pairc Sean Misteal. Naomh Malachi got their season off to a great start with a close win. The final result was Naomh Malachi 2-10 vs John Mitchels 1-12. This was a great start for the local lads under their new manager Noel Litchfield.

The U16 combination of Kilkerly / Naomh Malachi also had their first game of the season against Roche Emmets GFC in Pairc de Roiste last Sunday. This also proved to be a local winning combination and a great start on their first game of the season. Final score was Kilkerley / Naomh Malachi 5-9 vs Roche Emmets 2-6.
