The Parents and Friends Association host Christmas Themed Family Fun Quiz this Thursday, December 5, at 7.30pm for pupils from second to sixth classes. GAA National Club Draw tickets are now on sale. Prizes include New Car, Travel Voucher, All Ireland Tickets Concert Tickets and Shopping Vouchers. Tickets sellers will be calling to all houses in the area in the coming weeks. All monies raised go to club funds, tickets cost €10. The club received confirmation recently of a welcome Capital Sports Grant.

XMAS PARTY

St. Brides Christmas Party for all juveniles and their families takes place on Sunday, December 15, from 4.00pm to 6.00pm in St. Brides Clubhouse. There will be a special visit from Santa, so hoping to see you all there.

PARISH NEWS

Baptisms take place every fourth Sunday of the month at 11.30am mass. Remember in your prayers Billy Edwards, Antrim, John McDonnell, Los Angeles, Keith McVeigh, Lordship, John Barnes, Pepperstown, who died recently. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on Mondays from 10.00am to 10.00pm in the Church followed by Benediction at 10.00p.m. Confessions are available on Mondays before 7.30 Mass and from 9.30pm-10.00pm, at the end of Eucharist Adoration, and at any time by request. The sick and housebound will be visited this Thursday. The combined Parish Visitation Team meet tonight Tuesday, December 3, at 7.30pm in the Parochial House and the combined Parish Baptism Team meet on Monday, December 9, in the Parochial House at 8.00pm. Mass for the feast of the Immaculate Conception will be on Monday, December 9, at 7.30pm. Advent Penitential service for adults and also Ceremony of Light for children preparing for confirmation takes place Tuesday, December 10, at 7.30pm. School Advent Penitential Service on Friday December 13, at 10.15am. A team of volunteers have agreed to act as interim sacristan until a permanent sacristan is appointed in the new year.

PARISH CENTRE

Those wishing to book the Parish Centre for Funerals and other occasions, must contact Jean Myers directly at 042 9338670. Fr Gerry has asked a Sub Group and a few others to explore the upgrading of the Centre. An initial survey will be distributed over the next few weeks to all parishioners so they can input their views and suggestions. Next meeting is on Tuesday, October 29 at 8.00pm in the Centre.
