Dundalk backing Gráinne!
DANCING with the Stars contestant Gráinne Gallanagh has some extra special support from Dundalk schoolkids as she battles it out on the DWTS dancefloor.
Gráinne’s sister, and nephews are leading the support for the former Miss Universe who has been a hit with the judges on the top rated show.
Caitriona Gallanagh, a teacher at Scoil Phadraig Naofa, Kilcurry told the Argus her sister is ‘really enjoying the whole experience.’
‘Gráinne and her partner, professional dancer Kai Widdrington have impressed judges and the public with their tango, jive, salsa and topped the leader board last Sunday with a stunning contemporary ballroom performance,’ said Caitriona.
Gráinne is thrilled to have the support of her nephews in Scoil Phádaig Naofa, Scoil Bhríde, Shelagh and Rachael’s Room Pre school.
Mum Caitriona said: ‘Diarmuid, Conall and Fionn Daly are super proud of their aunty Gráinne!’
She added that all the children in the three local schools are supporting Gráinne, making posters, pictures and getting their parents to vote on Sunday nights.
‘It has brought a lot of excitement to the schools and homes in the local area.’
Gráinne and her family, who are originally from Buncrana, Donegal are ‘overwhelmed and extremely grateful for the support,’ said Caitriona.
