Compensation paid for damage

After a balance of €560 compensation was paid Damien Murphy (35) has had struck out a criminal damage charge which arose out of an incident near where he lives.

The court heard that the defendant, of 4 Toberona Cottages, was attempting to push a car on 9 March, 2018, when it rolled across the road and struck into the control panel of gates at Dealgan nursing home.

Solicitor Peter Lavery said his client has no previous convictions for anything like this. He is on good terms with the nursing home.

Judge McKiernan struck out the charge.
