Holiday time in the Cooley/ North Louth area continues this July with the now annual trip to Llandudno in Wales.

The trip takes place towards the end of July, Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th. The trip costs €280 per person sharing and this includes 3 nights B&B and dinners, a boat and Bus day trip.

Those travelling will be based in the very popular Grand Hotel ,a magnificen­t Victorian building and a prominent feature of the wonderfull­y

The Cuchulainn Gaels lotto draw took place on Wednesday last, February 2, in the Granvue Hotel, with a jackpot prize of €20,000.

The numbers drawn were 6, 15, 19 and 20, but these numbers were not matched. There was one ‘match three’ winner, Gerry Kieran, who wins the €100 prize.

This week’s draw is in the Cornamuckl­agh House at 7 pm for a top prize of €20,000. The new reserve jackpot is €3,000.

Gardening classes are commencing here in the Dolmen Centre on Monday 17th February from 10am to 12 noon for a duration of 6 weeks.
