Dan gets a big surprise for his 21st

-

SHAKY Bills bar at the rear of Russells Emporium hosted a surprise 21st birthday party for Dan Keane from Mulholland Avenue and there to make sure he had an excellent night were his parents Majella Keating and Martin Keane, sisters Lauren and Rachel and huge collection of family and well wishers.

Dan who is one of the top barmen in Brubakers, had finished work and was heading home for a few quiet ones before he went out to celebrate his 21st. was coaxed into Shaky Bills for a quick one, only to find everyone there waiting for him!

I then decided to look around to see who else was up for making it a real night to remember and met up with Jack McEneaney from Manydown Close, Alisha Dixon from Riverside Drive, Adam Molloy from Kingswood, Wayne Carroll from Cluan Enda, Kate McEneaney from Ashbrook, Dylan Anderson from Manydown Close and Ben Murphy from Railway Terrace who were all school mates of Dan’s and told me it was going to be an “unreal” night.

Not too far away I caught up with step sisters Rachel Keating from Castlebellingham and Lauren and Sean McEntee from Knockbridge who were up for making the best of the night (although Lauren and Sean were taking things easy) and wanted to wish Dan all the best on his big night.

Seated close by were Olive Quinn from Inniskeen, Martina and Kevin Rice from Bay Estate, Linda Ward and Ian Chong from Meadow Grove who are family friends and were definitely pace setters where the celebrations were concerned.

Not too far away I then got talking to Sean and Cherie Coburn from Mill Road, Jane Carroll from Cluan Enda, aunt Cathy and cousin Rhys Cousins from Castle Road, Selena Clarke and Colin Brennan from Quality Street who told me they have been family friends and have known Dan since Adam was a garsún. They too were intent in leading the charge where the celebrations were concerned.

After this I headed over for a quick word with John and Pauline McAleer from Beechmount Drive who wanted to wish Dan all the best on his big night and they were definitely up for making the best of it.

I then headed over for a chat with Damien and Jessica O’Malley from Tievecrom were up for making the best of the night and wanted to wish Dan all the best too.

Heading towards the bar I met up with Sean McGuill from Lisdoo who was only here for ‘ the young wans’, Tiernan Reilly from Bay Estate sporting a pair of crutches after some major ligament damage and was really enjoying the sympathy we was receiving from the ladies, Gavin Smith and Oisin Vize both from

Ruth Maher, Martin Keane, Dan Keane, Majella Keating and Brian Keating at Dan’s 21st birthday party in Russells Bar.

Jonesboro and Ciaran Murphy from Bay Estate who told me they have all played football with Dan down through the years and assured me it was going to be a mad night for sure.

Finally, before I departed, I then got talking to Clodagh Roe and Emma Teather both from Point Road, Hannah Mackle from Priory Villas and Eve Keenan from Greenacres who were all looking extremely well and told me they had all been youth leads in the Friary Youth club with Dan were going to make sure he had a brilliant night.
