The Alone organisation has launched a national support line for older people who have concerns or face difficulties relating to Coronavirus. Professional Staff are available to answer queries, give advice or reassurance if necessary. This support line is open 7 days a week from 8.00am to 8.00pm and the number to call is 0818222024.
PARISH NEWS
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament resumes on Tuesday next June 9, from 10.15am to 10.00pm. The Combined Parish Pastoral Council Zoom meeting takes place this Thursday night at 7.30pm. A Covid 19 Parish Support Team is now in place and will work towards the full reopening of Parish Life. If you are interested in joining this team please contact Fr Gerry. All Confirmations, First Communions, Baptisms, Wedding ceremonies are postponed until further notice. Attendance at funeral Masses is limited to 10 people of immediate family. Due to weak broadband coverage Live Streaming of Masses and Services that were taking place in the church have now moved to Kilkerley Church at same times until the coverage problem is put right hopefully for this coming weekend. Sunday mass takes place at 11.30am. This Mass will be offered for the anniversaries that have been booked for both Saturday and Sunday. Mass will also be celebrated at 9.30am via webcam, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for all parishioners and for those who have contracted the Coronavirus as well as for those who are caring for them at home or in hospital. Fr Gerry or Fr Brian will lead the Rosary immediately at the end of all Webcam masses. If an elderly or vulnerable family member or neighbour would like Fr. Gerry or Fr. Brian to phone them for a chat or prayer please call the parish office, leave their name and number and Fr. Gerry or Fr. Brian will phone them. In keeping with data protection the phone number given will be used for this purpose only. Congratulations to Fr Gerry on completing 30 years in the priesthood on Sunday last. Remember in your prayers Jack King, Ballyoran Road, Patricia Byrne, Marian Park, Teresa Fletcher, Leeds, formerly Connor, Haggardstown, Paddy Martin, Carrickmacross, Noreen Dooley (nee Atkinson), Coolderry, Inniskeen, Yvonne Dolan, Moynalty, who died recently. A reminder that all dead flowers/ wreaths, excess waste from graves should be taken home and not left lying around the cemetery. Weekly parish envelopes can be left in the Parochial House Porch Knockbridge from Monday to Friday each week between 3.00pm and 6.00pm. ST BRIDES GFC
Due the COVID 19 situation, St Brides Healthy Club Project Team offer a service to anyone in our Community, Member or Non-Member, who needs help with collecting groceries, prescriptions, etc. All requests will be treated in confidence. Contact 085 7234668 or 086 4017098.
BUS SERVICE
