Survey on COVID-19 impact

-

Creative Spark is pleased to announce that it is supporting the first research into the effects that the COVID-19 crisis has had on people working in the fields of the cultural and creative industry sectors in Europe.

The main objective of the research is to understand the ways in which cultural and creative workers are dealing with changed conditions of work and everyday life during the pandemic.

It will provide preliminary insights to help key stakeholders develop effective policies and support mechanisms that will ease the negative effects of the crisis.

The research is covering all 27 EU countries plus UK, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine and Moldova.

It concerns all Creative and Cultural Industry (CCI) sectors: Architecture, Landscape architecture, Film / Audio / Video, Photography, Music, Fashion design or Textile design, Graphic design, Product design, Service design, Advertising, Marketing and Communication, Software development and Video game development, Research and Development, Performance arts, Visual arts, Media, Literature, Publishing and Library Science, Creative crafts, Creative tourism, Museums and Cultural heritage.

This research is part of the MAX project (Makers’ Mobility Pilot project, co-funded by the European Commission and coordinated by European Creative Hubs Network in partnership with Fab Lab Barcelona, UPTEC and Makery). Creative Spark is a founder-member of the European Creative Hubs Network.

In order to obtain concrete data and have comparable figures between countries, we need to reach 35,000 completed surveys across Europe so they are asking those involved in the creative arts to take part in the survey, details of which can be found on www. creativespark.ie

Please note that all responses will be anonymous.

The survey will be open until 19 July and the results will be published in September.
