James (Jimmy) Brodigan, Willow Grove, Carrick Road, Dundalk, whose death occurred on May 11, 2024, peacefully, in the love and tender care of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by his family. Predecease­d by his wife Crissie (née Breen), daughter Louise, parents George and Mary (late of St. Clement’s Park), sister Mary Gray and his daughter-in-law Majella. He will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his loving family, daughter Anne, sons Philip and Niall, brothers Georgie and Donal, sister Ann Rogers, son-in-law Johnny Flynn, daughter-in-law Caroline, his adored grandchild­ren Melissa, Ciara, Damien, Dearbhla, Hannah, Cian, Nicola, Niall and Adam, great-grandchild­ren Daniel, Hailey, Callum and Ashlee, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, wonderful neighbours and friends.

Donal Kelly, Lisnaheder­na, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, and formerly of Kilmurray, Mount Avenue, Dundalk, whose death occurred on May 11, 2024, peacefully at home, in the loving care of his devoted family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Majella and adored son Joe. Sadly missed by his parents Don and Mary, brothers Paul, Eamon and Niall, sister Elaine, mother-in-law Olive, brothers-in-law Joe, Pete, Declan, Pauric, Kieran and Darren, sisters-in-law Catherine, Irene, Libby, Elaine, Kerry, Emer, Karen and Claire. Donal will be deeply missed by his much-loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends and neighbours. Removal from his residence on Wednesday to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, for Funeral Mass at 10am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Gerry Lennon, Feran Drive, Louth Village, whose death occurred on May 11, 2024, peacefully in Beaumont Hospital. Gerry, son of the late Patrick and Mary, beloved husband of Cecelia (née McCabe), loving dad of Shane, Matthew and John Paul, granda of Matthew, Sadhbh, Oisín, Eden, Cara, and Jude, brother of Cyril, Anthony, Briege and the late Maureen, Patsy, John, Peter, Dessie, Frank, Lizzy, Margaret, Christophe­r. Gerry will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchild­ren, daughtersi­n-law Linda, Laura and John Paul’s partner Aoife, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Thomas O’Malley, Balregan, Kilcurry, Dundalk, and formerly Newtownham­ilton, Co. Armagh, whose death occurred on May 9, 2024, suddenly, at his home. Predecease­d by his wife Ann (Nan), brothers Peter and Brian, sisters Elizabeth and Mary, sisters-inlaw Anne and Margaret and brother-in-law Maurice. Thomas will be sadly missed by his daughters Fiona and Colette, sons Aidan and Dermot, daughter-in-law Linda, son-in-law Keith, grandchild­ren Shane, Darren, Conor and Ciara, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and his extended family, neighbours and friends.

Bernadette Duggan (née McCann), Jenkinstow­n, Seatown Place, Dundalk, and formerly of Carlingfor­d (retired Teacher, St Vincent’s), whose death occurred on May 8, 2024, peacefully, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Bernadette, beloved wife of the late Patrick, loving mum of Niall, Emma and Jonathan, dear nana of Cara, Patrick, Oscar, Louie and Willow, sister of Mary McCann and Terri Jones and the late Patrick McCann. Bernadette will be missed by her sons, daughter, grandchild­ren, sister, son-in-law Frank, daughter-inlaw Jenny, nephews, nieces, relatives and beloved friends.

James Bernard (Benny) Garland, St. Nicholas’ Avenue, Dundalk, whose death occurred on May 7, 2024, unexpected­ly, at home. Predecease­d by his parents Elizabeth and James and siblings Michael, Bridie, Theresa, Moira, Nelly and Nancy. He will be sadly missed by his nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Josephine Lynch (née Donnelly), Riverside Crescent, Dundalk, whose death occurred on May 8, 2024, peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Predecease­d by her beloved husband Tony, her twin babies Anthony and Concepta, who died in infancy, granddaugh­ter Lorna (Oakley), parents Thomas and Mary and siblings Maura (Sheelan), Lily (Murphy), Francis and Patrick, who died in infancy. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroke­n daughters and sons Catrina (Mulholland), Maria (Oakley), Ailish (Murphy), John, Monica (O’Connor), Francis, Pauline (Killeen), Siobhán and Kevin, sons-in-law, daughtersi­n-law, grandchild­ren, brother Henry, sisters Kathleen (McElwain) and Una (Goss), nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Veronica Clare Zwetkof (née Clarke), formerly Whitestown, Greenore, whose death occurred on March 13, 2024, peacefully, in her 100th year, surrounded by her loving family. Veronica was predecease­d by her husband George, parents Patrick and Rose (Finnegan) Clarke and siblings Bernard, infant Mary, Tom, Molly, Joe, Charlie, Rosetta, Teresa and Seamus. She will be deeply missed by her loving son and daughter Peter and Rosemary, son-in-law Michael, grandchild­ren Devon, Svetlana, Ronan, and Kiernan, her wide circle of relatives and friends.

Jackie Doyle (née Ruawai), Mountain Court, Point Road, Dundalk, whose death occurred on May 6, 2024, peacefully, in the love and tender care of Curam Care Nursing Home. Formerly of New Zealand, Jackie was predecease­d by her husband Desmond (Blue), parents Major and Kuikui Ruawai, brothers Marvin and Joe, sisters Kathleen (Bibo) and Pauline and her grandson Mike. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons Robert and Michael, daughter Sylvia, daughter-in-law Ata, her adored grandchild­ren Eva, Alex, Johanna, Leigh, Dean, Gem-Rose, her great-grandchild­ren Easton, Ryder, Kenzie, Manaia, Zaine and Kaiser, her extended friends in Ireland and her whanau in her home country of New Zealand.
