You’ve got a bag of odd socks: purple, pink and orange, but you don’t know how many of any colour. You pull out socks one at a time until you get the desired combination.

If you want a pair of pink socks the most socks you need to pull out is 10.

If you want a pair of orange socks, the most you need to pull out is 12.

If you want a pair of purple socks, the most you need to pull out is 14.
