INSPIRATION CLOSE TO HOME
Regarded as one of Ireland’s most loved singers, Sligoman Tommy Fleming released his new album ‘All These Years’ on October 29th. The 40-track album includes a mix of old and new songs with special guest Elaine Paige collaborating on one of the tracks.
The new songs on the album were written during the months of lockdown and Tommy considers the album a retrospective on his life’s work, as well as being inspired by his 3 decades on stage.
Speaking to about the new album prior to its recent release, singing sensation Tommy described his thoughts on being in the entertainment business for 30 years.
“I feel releasing ‘All These Years’ on the 30th anniversary of when I first stood on a stage is a fitting way to mark my long career in the music industry. I wrote and recorded a lot of the songs in lockdown. I was inspired by home, my wife and family, turning 50, as well as my surroundings in Sligo.
“Some days were tough, but music is my therapy. I tried to look for the best

in the situation and made use of the time to focus on the music and myself and Tina, my wife and also my manager, were busy making plans for when live music could resume”.
Tommy, who hails from Sligo, cited the beautiful scenery as an inspiration for some of the new tracks.
“I try to spend time in nature with my dogs and I find that helps get the creative juices flowing. I am looking forward to embarking on a nationwide tour in December and then hopefully going to other countries in 2022 and 2023”.
NATIONWIDE TOUR
Finding motivation in a pandemic isn’t easy, but in true Tommy Fleming fashion, he didn’t give up and focused on creating another phenomenal album. Now the focus is on making sure the fans get to enjoy the music with a nationwide tour, starting in December.
Tommy will take to the stage at several venues around the country to kick-start live performances again, including down south including at the Cork Opera House (2 nights), the Clonmel Park Hotel, Ballycotton in East Cork, the Theatre Royal, Waterford; the INEC, Killarney and Limerick University Concert Hall. In his own unique style, he will perform live, singing traditional Irish songs and his own original material, which is something he’s missed through the pandemic.
