Bridge by the River in Fermoy
There is no doubt that we are in very difficult and potentially dangerous times with the resurgence of Covid-19 in our communities. Some bridge clubs have chosen to open their club premises, however Fermoy Bridge Club committee has decided to remain closed and continue to play in our Virtual Club on BBO for the foreseeable future.
In order to manage the club the present committee have agreed to stay on until an AGM can be safely held. We are very grateful to our wonderful committee who are guiding us through this difficult time and ensuring, at all times, that the safety of members is paramount.
The committee are appealing to our loyal members to participate in the online club and, in particular, to pay the membership fee of €55. There will also be a fee of €20 per month for the virtual games. We need to maintain the premises and all monies will be used for this.
A reminder that if you wish to start playing in the virtual club and are unsure of how to do so, any member of the committee will assist you in this.

It was with deep sadness that, we, in Fermoy Bridge Club learned of the passing of Madge Carroll. Madge had moved to Clonmel and played in the club there, but when living in Fermoy she was a very esteemed member of the club. A wonderful bridge player, she will be missed by many and our deepest sympathy goes to her family and friends.
