LOTTO

There was no winner of the lotto of September 29 last. The numbers drawn were 3, 22, 23 and 25. The lucky €30 draw winners were: John Conway, Danny & Nora Flynn, Lizzie Keane (Glenbeg) and the Noonan family, Ballyduff.

Results from the draw on October 6 coming from St Michael’s Hall with a jackpot of €6,900 in next week’s news.

Tickets are on sale in St Michael’s Hall from 9am to 1pm on weekdays, Bridget’s Hair Salon and also online. To purchase online, search for Clubforce, register and search for Ballyduff Upper GAA or download the Clubforce App, create an account and search for Ballyduff GAA.

TRACTOR RUN

A tractor run will take place on Sunday, October 11 next, meeting at Ballyduff Community Field. Registrati­on will be from 12.30pm at €20 per tractor and leaving at 2pm. The money raised will go towards keeping our community buildings open during this time of Covid as we work our way to reopening. All tractors are welcome. Your support is greatly appreciate­d.

WEIGHT BUSTERS

Weight Busters returns for 9 weeks starting Tuesday, October 13. Weigh ins will be in St Michael’s Hall from 7pm and Covid restrictio­ns will be in place. Price is €5 per week or €40 for the 9 weeks. There will also be a walk each week after weigh ins.

SCARECROW & PUMPKIN WEEKEND

Following on from the success of the Scarecrow and Pumpkin Trail over the last two years, the event will go ahead again this year with a little twist.

Pumpkins - People are invited to carve a pumpkin and they will be on display outside St Michael’s Hall like previous years. The deadline for the pumpkins is October 24. Entry forms are available at St Michael’s Hall or can be downloaded from the Ballyduff Upper What’s On Facebook page.

Scarecrows. People are invited to build a scarecrow and bring them to St Michael’s Hall. The scarecrows will be part of a Car Scarecrow Hunt on a set out route which will run over the Hallowe’en weekend. The deadline for submitting scarecrows to St Michael’s Hall is also October 24. Entry forms are available at St Michael’s Hall or can be downloaded from the Ballyduff Upper What’s On Facebook page.
