Level 3 Covid restrictions and what they mean exactly are still being thrashed out as the notes are being written so it would be better to ‘check before you go’ to any event or appointments in the coming days.

Covid-19: the second wave - the current hot topic on all media is the second wave of Covid-19. Last March volunteers in Killavullen parish were more than willing to help out those who were cocooning or isolating at home. As virus numbers are on the rise once again the same sentiment is expressed to all those who are more vulnerable among us at this time. If you find yourself in need of help with collecting shopping, post office trips, prescription collection or something simple such as a newspaper drop off, please contact Gillian at 086-3845655 and help will be available to you. All our volunteers are discreet and do not want people to let pride get in the way of this service in the current times.

IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL

If you are having symptoms of illness or health concerns it is as important as ever to make sure you look after your health. Please ring your GP surgery and you will be advised on what to do. There is a concern that people are not attending GP’s as they are worried about contracting Covid-19. The best thing to do is ring your surgery and you will be looked after in the safest way.

Killavullen Community Employment Scheme has two positions available at the moment. One is for the position of caretaker at Annakisha Church for 19.5 hours per week.

The other is at Nano Nagle Birthplace in the role of horticultural/general worker for 19.5 hours per week. To apply for either position please contact the CE supervisor at 022-46675 or 087-6524312. Applicants must be in receipt of a social welfare payment for one year or more.
