Successful Avondhu District race meet

On Sunday, September 20, Grange Fermoy AC and four other clubs from the Avondhu District organised a race meeting for juveniles and seniors before the county cross country championships. The venue for this event was the newly refurbished Coláiste track. The club had a big number of juveniles and a few seniors.

These races were run following very strict Covid guidelines, which didn’t deter anyone from performing at their best. All the Grange Fermoy athletes ran extremely well, which was very encouraging to see and a great preparation for the cross country races which started on October 4. Report of the first day will be published in next week’s edition.
