The Avondhu

Zoom meetings

-

The club’s most recent Zoom meeting took place last Monday evening. Our Sports Capital Grant application dominated the agenda with a lively exchange of views. ‘An application’ is just that and while there’s no guarantee of success, everyone is agreed, it’s worth pursuing.

FOCUS OF THE GRANT

The money, if secured, would allow the club significantly expand and upgrade its existing training area - a vital space given the amount of wet weather we get. It’s a big enough undertaking that, if it comes to pass, will include excavation work, drainage, laying of an artificial surface, erecting fencing, installing new lights as well as putting up ball catch netting.

ANOTHER ZOOM MEETING

Another Zoom meeting is pencilled in for tonight (Thursday, 18th February at 8.15pm). This will deal exclusively with the Rebels’ Bounty fundraising draw. The response to date has been very encouraging, however, there’s still time to enter with the first draw timed for Thursday, 25th March.

Those who have ‘moved on’ have the very convenient online option (www.araglengaa.com). Tickets €2 or 3 for a fiver.
