PENANCES FOR LENT

The first thing to do is to take a close look how you are coping with the day to day difficulties due to the virus. The first penance is to meet the challenge everyday life presents to us. Offer that to the Lord as your first sacrifice, we all have lots to deal with in that area and only then add other penances.

POOR OF THE WORLD

Covid-19 is hitting poor countries very hard we must not forget them. This year Trócaire focuses on Sudan.

RESILIENT FAITH

Our faith in Jesus will not fail us. He is as good as His promises. When He says “I am with always “He means it. It’s up to us to trust Him and these are the very days we need to trust Him deeply. The divine Mercy prayer put it, very simply ‘Jesus I trust in you’. So let’s trust in Jesus He will not be found wanting. Jesus Mercy, Mary Help.
