WE HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD!

-

With so much bad news around the area at the moment and so many families losing loved ones, it is really a sad time for many. With funerals now almost confined to immediate family, it’s not easy out there.

Clubs, like leagues, are hoping for good news, perhaps next month but we cannot say with certainty that kids will be back training. Even this could be a start and give the parents and kids a break.

At this stage we have to be positive and with a new vaccine coming in March and again just one jab needed, everything may be brought forward and one would say that by August we should be getting back to some sort of normality. To have some idea of dates would be terrific.

The government are bringing out a paper on living with Covid-19 going forward. We wait in hope for some good news very soon.

SYMPATHY

The club extends its deepest sympathy to Dr Joe O’Keeffe and the O’Keeffe family of Ballynoe and Tallow on the sad passing of Margaret O’Keeffe, aunt Gabrielle Heskin and uncle Dominic Smiddy, all who passed away in a few weeks. May they all rest in peace.

Sympathy also to the Power family, Kilmore, Tallow, on the sad passing of Declan of

Ballinamult and Glounthaune. May he rest in peace.

Sympathy to the Carmelite Convent sisters on the sad passing of Sister Joseph. May she rest in peace.

MICK ON THE BALL

Mick McCarthy has been doing well with his new club Cardiff. It’s now four wins and two draws in his games to date. Could Mick be back in the Premier League with Cardiff next season?

If results over the new few months are as good then who knows? Sometimes football can be a funny old game.
