Club shocked and saddened
The whole community and that of Ballygiblin GAA were shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic deaths of the Hennessy brothers last week. Willie and Paddy played with the club in the 1970s and 1980s and Willie, along with his brother Jer who passed away in 2014, were on the panel of the team that won the 1979 North Cork. They were also accomplished handball players. They were very genuine, hardworking men and will be sadly missed among the community.
Our sincere sympathy to Paddy’s daughter Elaine, their sister Breda and all their relations and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. May they all rest in peace.
