New development fundraiser
Ballygiblin GAA has taken on the initiative of a major development to improve our grounds and facilities. This development consists of the installation of Astroturf, Lighting & Fencing and a 70m hurling wall. As you can imagine, this will take a significant fundraising effort from the club and the greater community.
Although this is a club project, we see this as an overall community initiative as there are already a significant number of schools, clubs and community groups who use our facilities or will use these facilities in the future. Luckily, we are a community that continues to grow, and it is important for all local groups in the area to work together to be able to provide for the needs of our community.
CALF REARING
To kickstart this fundraising campaign, the club has come up with a unique initiative where we will ask members of our community to rear a calf for 12 months and then to sell these calves with all proceeds going towards the new development. We will also try to make this fundraising initiative fun and exciting. We will link in with underage teams, schools and local community groups to try and keep everyone engaged. This may include photos, fun days, farm visits or even pictures with the calves. Please feel free to share with us any ideas.
For anyone that would like to participate in this fundraising event, we are offering the following options:
Rear your own calf on your own farm;
Rear a calf for somebody who does not have the facilities to rear a calf;
Get your calf contract reared by a club member who is willing to do so (This can be an individual and group effort);
Purchase a calf as an individual or group and pay for that farmer to rear your calf.
Ballygiblin GAA is trying to be progressive and trying to deliver a top-class facility for our community. We understand this is a significant contribution from anyone interested in this initiative, but we would be extremely thankful in anyway that you can support. Please share this fundraising initiative with people who would be potentially interested. Should anyone have any other ideas regarding fundraising for the club, please contact any committee member.
If you would be interested in participating in this fundraiser, please feel free to reach out to any club member or any of the contacts

ST PATRICK’S DAY
Unfortunately, it’s going to be another quiet St. Patric’s Day with no parades, gatherings or games this year, but we would still like to wish everyone a happy St. Patrick’s day however you plan on celebrating it.
